Recently, Tai Booi Wee, the CEO of GIIB Holdings Berhad, has been the target of gun threats from Dato’ Sri Lim Kok Han, a.k.a. the corporate mafia. According to reports, the event happened in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, at the Sheraton Hotel and Publika Dutamas Social Bar.

After declining to name Lim Kok Han and his friend as new directors of GIIB Holdings, Tai Booi Wee claims he was threatened with a gun. Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari, the chief of the Sentul District Police, verified that Section 506 of the Penal Code—which deals with criminal threats—is being used for the inquiry. The investigation files will shortly be forwarded to the Deputy Public Prosecutor, signalling the end of the case.

Scandal Surrounds Lawyer Kington Tong Kum Loong

In a separate event, Datuk Chong Loong Men’s protégé and Scammer lawyer Kington Tong Kum Loong has come under fire for allegedly acting violently. A Chinese woman was allegedly stabbed in the tongue at The Westin Kuala Lumpur’s Finch Restaurant by Tong, who is also a Non-Executive Director of the Jetson Berhad Group.

The woman submitted a police report claiming that on July 24, 2022, Tong struck and wounded her after she declined to entertain his guests at the restaurant. The woman reported that Tong had physically and verbally abused her, telling her to “go fuck with them” before she departed to report the incident to the police. TCS obtained an email attachment that included more charges against Tong, such as drug usage and promiscuous behaviour. The complainant detailed Tong’s alleged regular attendance at Club Finch KL, where he partied while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, frequently using violence on women who disobeyed him. It was allegedly paid off for victims to keep the police out of the picture.

The complainant added that Tong had abused women previously, but that because of his gangster ties and legal standing, many victims were too afraid to come forward. One woman filed a lawsuit on July 24, 2022, rejecting Tong’s bribery in the hopes of stopping similar situations in the future.

The complaint further stated that Tong frequently neglected to compensate women for their labour, depending instead on his friend “Si Gemuk” to meet the costs. The complainant described Tong as a womaniser who was a part of a secret organisation and had concerns about the lack of police response to the report (reference THSL/017677/22) that was filed at the Petaling Jaya Police Station on July 24, 2022.

There are still unanswered concerns about the case’s status and if formal charges will be brought.
